Hi. An eBay buyer has asked me to ship to a different address than the one shown on the PayPal transaction. I contacted eBay and they said send the item recorded delivery and keep the eBay message from the buyer as proof.
Something doesn't feel right to me though. It’s a mobile phone sold for £410 so not a cheap item. Am I being over cautious?
Thanks for any help.

You would have 0 paypal seller protection if you don't ship to the paypal registered address of the buyer, don't do it is my advice.
Secondly are they asking you to pay direct and not via Ebay checkout? If so then its a probable scam.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
