Can I deposit a large check from a family member into my paypal account, and if so how do I go about doing it?

If the payment is not an eCheck sent to your PayPal account from your family, then deposit the check into your bank account that is linked to your PayPal account and then when that check clears your bank then transfer the money via Add Money to your PayPal account.

You can’t send PayPal the check and they deposit the check into your PayPal account, it don’t work that way.
