automatic refund to banck account or credit card

Every time I return something that was paid with paypal and it gets refunded to my paypal account the money automatically gets transferred to my credit card or bank account. How do I disable this? I want to be able to chose if I leave the money on my paypal account or transfer it to my bank account. I never want the money to be transferred back to my credit card.  Can someone please advise on how to fix this since this is very annoying...

Ok that's clear.

But can someone tell me what the ratio behind this is?

It's not very handy because now I have money sitting on my credit card account whereas I need it on my bank account...

Why would paypal not have the money sit in my paypal account?

Wouldn't that be better for the both of us?
