Please can someone help what happens to the money which was sent to a wrong e-mail address? I have changed my e-mail for security reasons and accidentally gave the old address to someone who sent money.

Hi @fhrkld,
I'm sorry to hear that money was sent to an old address. If that address is not associated with any PayPal account at present, the payment should be unclaimed on the sender's side. You can add the email address to your PayPal account and confirm it, and the payment will come into your account. If the payment sits unclaimed for 30 days without this action occurring, the funds should return to the sender.
If the email address is still associated with an old account that is still open, you would have to log into that account to access the received funds.
I hope this helps!
Olivia
