Why money did not go to PayPal acct

I sold an item on eBay and eBay sent a email to open a PayPal business account. No, not gonna do that, not a business. How do I get the funds to my PayPal acct? Or, do I just give up and email the buyer to somehow withdraw the funds? I feel like just giving it up, walking away from PayPal and eBay.

What does it say on your ebay transaction?

Does the payment show in paypal?

Is it pending in paypal?

Subject line “You got paid for item <removed>”

Thisemail confirms that you’ve nominated PayPal to receive an instant purchase payment etc. This payment was sent through PayPal- the easier blah blah blah.

Simply click etc. link is to “Accept payments on your website”. Sign up now, start your application, (email is first).
