Where is my money!?

Someone sent me $100 on March 11 and from their side, it looks successful, he sent me a screenshot and it has a transaction ID, it says he's sent the money to me and the address is correct.   Yet, I have not received any notification from PayPal, nor does anything show up in transactions. The help function on PayPal is useless, as is the support e-mail, you just get a completely off topic automatic reply!

My account is verified, I use it just about every day and have done so for at least 5 years now. Other payments have come and gone without issue since March 11.

Any hints or tips or perhaps a non robotic e-mail address to contact would be much appreciated.

Hi Wizbit,

Thank you for your post and welcome to our Community Help Forum!

Money received into your PayPal account is placed in your PayPal balance. Log in into your account to see your balance and a detailed breakdown of different currencies, and any pending or held payments.

If you’re receiving money from friends & family, or for goods and services, please check with the sender to ensure the money was indeed sent to you. If you are expecting money from someone, but don’t see it under your PayPal balance or pending balance, it could be because:

  • The sender sent the payment to the wrong email address, spelled your email incorrectly, or entered the incorrect phone number. Please confirm with the sender the exact spelling of the email address or phone number they sent the payment to. If it was sent to the wrong one, you can add up to eight email addresses to your account. Once you confirm the email address, the payment will appear immediately.
  • The email address on your account is not yet confirmed. Any payments sent to your account will not appear in the account balance until you complete the registration process by confirming your email address.
  • You could be a victim of a scam on certain classified websites.

I hope this helps.
