What if the item shows up after paypal refunds payment?

Hi I recently got reimbursed by paypal for an item never received. Sometime later, while I was out of town, the item finally came and my husband signed for it. (I did try it on and it didn't fit anyway) so I'm wondering what do I do with the item. Do I return it, or just consider this settled?  I have tried to contact Paypal, but have been unable to find a way to do so.

You should contact the seller ,if you want to keep it,then pay him,else return it

Thanks.  I don't wish to keep it as it turned out, but I am unable to read the Chinese label which faded and then further damaged by opening the pkg.
