Long story short: I placed an order, there is a pending authorization from PayPal. The company where I placed the order said they cannot do anything since they aren't processing payment. I called my bank and they said to contact PayPal to get the hold released. Unfortunately, no one is there on the phones and It's been several hours since sending a message.
TLDR: I cannot wait for the default 30 days, which is very extreme tbh.
When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is often pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.
If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment.
