I am trying to make a purchase of 80$ , my prepaid card only has 50$ on it and i have my bank account linked to my paypal. However every time i make the purchase thinking that paypal would take the left over 30$ the card couldn't cover and charge it to my account it doesn't. Does any one know how to solve this or a workaround?

You can only do split payments by selecting PayPal balance or bank account as the main funding source backed up by card, not the other way around. If using a card as the main funding source, it has to be able to cover the entire amount or it will be declined and use your PayPal balance or bank account or another card.

Your best option is to add $30 to your PayPal balance and then select to pay with your PayPal balance and use your card as back up. Or buy an item within the amount of your prepaid card.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
