Upgrading Jorte Calendar on my android

I'm trying to use PayPal to upgrade Jorte calendar on my android phone. When trying to subscribe it asks 2 questions. What is my PayPal email address and what is my PayPal phone number. For the email address I use my personal email account and for the phone number I use my cell phone number. When I hit the Subscribe button it says Payment unsuccessful and to contact PayPal Member Service. What am I doing wrong?

I'm sorry to hear that your payment is unsuccessful. If it's only asking for that information and not asking you to log in to your PayPal account, it sounds like it's trying to process a billing agreement payment through an already established agreement. There are a few reasons why a payment might not work successfully. Please try the payment again at a later date if possible, after a full day or more without any attempts. If the issue persists, please contact customer service by phone for further troubleshooting. Click Contact at the bottom of the PayPal website and then Call us, then log in for the number to call.
