Unsolicited email about subscription renewal from merchant vendor

Hello,

 

Today I received an email from a 3rd party merchant/vendor informing that I have an upcoming renewal to which they will charge next week.

 

They had a link to their website.

 

But I checked my PayPal account and I see that this subscription is currently inactive.

 

Have I been almost tricked into unwittingly resubscribing to something I didn't want?
