Today I received $900 on PayPal. I assumed it was from my kids’ dad, who sends that amount monthly. We’d been talking about money earlier, and was surprised he had given me that much. Without thinking, I transferred it to my bank. I asked him and he said he didn’t sent me anything. My friend advised me not to spend it, in case it’s a scam. Now I wonder if someone tried to hack into my account to access my bank info. Is this possible? Do I need to change my password and call my bank? I’m doing both tomorrow, but was curious as to why I have random money being sent to me. There was no message and it wasn’t listed as anonymous. Thank you for any enlightenment you might share.
