Unable to claim international payment

Hello, a relative has tried to send me R$57.00 (BRL) via Paypal. Since 3rd of February I've been receiving texts from Paypal saying "You've got money! XXX sent you 57.00 BRL. Claim this at https://py.pl/xxx" The link varies every time i received a text. I've tried to click on the link which takes me to my account but there's no trace of these funds or no obvious way to claim them. Please help as I don't want this money to get lost.

Hi,

If a payment that was sent was unclaimed for 30 days, it goes back to the original sender as if it was refunded.

The sender needs to initiate a new transaction for you to get the money.

Here's the link you check for article reference: https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/what-does-the-status-of-my-payment-mean-on-my-paypal-acc...

Unclaimed: The recipient hasn’t accepted or received your payment. Unclaimed transactions are automatically canceled after 30 days.

Hope it helps.

It will be pending until you have added that currency as a 'receiving currency' on your paypal account.

Go to your paypal balance and click on the 3 dots next to it > manage currencies and ADD that currency as a receiving currency.
