My paypal account has funds, but I have not linked a card. Whenever I try to make a payment, the system redirects to the page to add a card. I have funds in my account added via Mpesa. How should I make the payment without adding a card? (I tried to add a valid visa card, which failed)
You can use funds in your paypal balance 'as long as' they are in the correct currency and not pending.
BUT for some transactions ie digital / virtual or higher risk AND at 'some point' anyway Paypal will ask you to add a card to act as a back up funding source and to verify your Paypal account.
