Transaction Pending

My brother lives in South Korea and I live in the United States. 

Last week, he has sent me some money so I could buy my parents' Christmas gifts; however, on my account, it shows that my transaction is pending.

I understand that in order for me to get my money fast is by simply inputting a tracking information - which I do not have because I did not send anything to him. How do I remove this "hold" on my account so I can go buy my parents' gifts?

Unfortunately they don't have the friends / family option in South Korea so he had to send it goods / services, as you are subject to a 'new seller hold' as you are not a regular seller then even though it wasn't a goods payment it would be held for 21 days. 

Thats UNLESS he sent it in another currency and its pending because you haven't added that currency to your paypal account?
