why cant I use my paypal balamce. Money is there so why cant I just use that.you are making it hard to use paypal

You can use funds in your paypal balance 'as long as' they are in the correct currency and not pending.

BUT for some transactions ie digital / virtual or higher risk AND at 'some point' anyway Paypal will ask you to add a card to act as a back up funding source and to verify your Paypal account.

@kernowlassI have added a backed up card. I have confirmed it. but still I cant use my paypal balance why are they making it hard to use paypal balance? my currency is USD and I live in Fiji which does not have its currency listed. please help

So are you paying a seller that accepts USD?

Do you have USD marked as your primary currency?

USD is marked as my primary currency. its just that I cant change the option to make my paypal balance as primary payment
