I was checking out and I entered my PayPal info. I get a popup from the site that says "Sorry, your payment has not been confirmed by the payment provider. Some of the products are currently out of stock." But I see that the company has temporary authorization and I received an order confirmation! The website I ordered from has a mixed bag of reviews, so I'm not confident in their tactics. What should/ can I do?

If the seller doesn't capture the payment, the temporary authorization will expire and drop off from activity and funds released. Confirm with the merchant to cancel the order if they are out of stock. If you do see that the authorization doesn't expire and is captured after you have canceled, then you may file a dispute after 7 days if you received no shipping confirmation.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
