Sorry, this recipient can't accept payments right now

I have set up a money pool so that my friends can pay me money. I did this, created the link and sent it to them, but when they try and pay they get the following message -

Sorry, this recipient can't accept payments right now

Does anyone know what the issue is and how I can fix it? I have the correct currency, so I don't think that's an issue?
