Someone paid me but paypal isnt sending it to me

Ive been using paypal for years now and scarcely a blip. Now, I get someone claiming to have bought a collection of books from me via paypal off an (old) paypal button in an old email. No problem, but the money has not appeared in my account nor has paypal sent me an email about it as usual. The buyer has sent me a copy of his original paypal email confirming the purchase, but I still dont have it. Of course, I'd contact paypal if I had a phone number or email address - which I dont.

any ideas, folks?

If you can add that email address to your paypal account and verify it then the funds should come with it.

What does it say next to the transaction in your BUYERS Paypal account?

1. Pending / Unclaimed.
2. Pending / Unclaimed with a cancel option.
3. Completed / Sent.
4. Pending / Uncleared.
