I sent money to my friend having trouble with bills, he requested it since his email wouldn’t show up on PayPal. I sent him the money, it was taken out of my bank account, but he never got it. This happened two days ago and we were hoping it was just taking some time. Now he’s saying PayPal is telling him the transaction was cancelled but I wasn’t refunded the money (I sent $100) and it still says the payment is pending on my account. Can someone help with this, I’m not someone who can just lose a hundred dollars willy nilly.
Sounds as if he has either provided you with an incorrectly spelt email address OR he has not verified that email address, that would also explain the fact it would not show up.
If its pending/unclaimed WITH a cancel option then cancel it.
If its pending/unclaimed WITHOUT a cancel option then if it remains unclaimed it will time out at 30 days post payment.
