Sent money but it's not showing up as a transaction. Recipient didn't receive anything.

I sent money to a friend and even got a receipt in my email that it went through. The card I used was also successfully charged. The payment isn't showing up under my PayPal activity and the person I sent it to didn't get anything. Need help.
