Sending money through Paypal balance

Hi, 

I have some money transfered into my Paypal balance and wish to send money through Paypal balance, already choosing it as my preferred payment. But before clicking 'Send',  there is only one funding source available that is to link a card. I wish to send money by Paypal balance but there isn't any button for me to choose it. How should I proceed?

You can use funds in your paypal balance as long as they are in the correct currency and not pending.

But for some transactions ie digital / virtual or higher risk and at some point anyway Paypal will ask you to add a card to act as a back up funding source and to verify your Paypal account.
