Hi there.

I sent a payment (as friends or family) to an address that does not exist. I know it does not exist because I checked on google. "couldn't find your google account".

Will the payment automatically be refunded to me within 30 days? Or do I need to make a claim?

If its pending / unclaimed WITH a cancel option then cancel it.

If its has not got a cancel option then it would time out at 30 days.

If its completed then it has gone through to a valid email address / linked to a paypal account.

If its the last one then you would only be able to recover the funds by reaching out to them and requesting a refund but you can't force them to do so and you can't open a dispute for a friends/family payment as there is 0 buyer protection.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Do you know under what conditions the transaction would have a cancel option and under what conditions it will not? Assuming it was sent to "friends or family".
