I need to send 185USD to a personal email holder in the states. I'll be withdrawing from my Canadian bank. Should I choose USD or CAD in the You send dropdown? The Recipient gets dropdown is obviously set to USD.
For instance, I could choose You send 185USD or You send 251CAD. Either way the recipient receives 185USD.
I'd like to avoid additional conversion charges obviously.
Also, why are there only 2 options:
1. Sending to a friend: No fee to use bank or balance to send to friends and family in Canada.
2. Paying for an item or service: The seller pays a fee. Your eligible items are covered by PayPal Purchase Protection
- What has happened to sending to a friend internationally?
Also, if I choose option 2 what are the fees? Cannot find.

Solved. Spoke with PP. They've redesigned the interface.
For future reference, after clicking Send & Request, under the More dropdown there is an option Send money abroad: Send to friends and family around the world. It's a bit buried, but still there.
