Selling fees - personal account, not business.

Sold item on Facebay for £11, customer requested to and paid on PayPal (within UK) rather than bank transfer which they feel was less secure.  However I only received payment for £10.38. Why? I'm not a business.

You pay a fee to sell regardless of what account type you have.

That how paypal makes their money.

They provide you with the service of processing a buyers payment for them and you pay them a fee to do so.

FEES are in paypals user agreement.

Sorry, doesn't matter if you're a business or private individual, you are charged a PayPal fee for receiving money for goods and services.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Thanks. Have read a bit more now and understand. I was getting confused in help guide with 'payments' as a seller and a buyer.
