Seller via depop has delayed sending items (6 days now), and wont refund

Hello,

 

So i found a seller for some shoes that was on DEPOP for £185, and i paid him via Paypal Goods & Services.

However it has been 6 days now, and he is constantly delaying day by day sending the item, i asked for a refund few days ago and he said it was okay if he cant send them again. He tried to send them, and couldn't and when it come to asking for a refund he was very light hearted with the replies, so i filed a dispute on the payment, and he somewhat complained about it, and is completely unresponsive when i ask him to just refund me the money.

 

I have screenshotted out full conversations on DEPOP, from details of payment to the email he said to send the money to, and so on.

Whats the likely hood that i should get my money back?

Escalate to PayPal claim within 20 days of opening dispute. Seller will need to provide proof of delivery in the form of a tracking number in order to have the case closed against you. This may push the seller to provide fraudulent proof of delivery information so beware and prepared to go to your PO to investigate and give you official documentation that shipping address on parcel is not yours and was not delivered to said address, etc. to appeal the PayPal  ruling. If PayPal won't budge, and you paid with credit card, then you may dispute via card issuer instead.

 

To appeal case, go to the Resolution Center or contacting customer service if you can get through:

(Responses may take longer due to reduced staff.)

 

  1. Log on.
  2. Click HELP at the top menu.
  3. Scroll down and click CONTACT US.
  4. Scroll down to click CALL US or other contact options.

If he was to provide false details of shipment what would i do?

 

If it does help i have screenshots of what he has said to me, he is basically saying he isnt going to refund and wants to let paypal settle it, for some reason.

Nothing to worry, PayPal will be able to identify if the tracking number is legit or not. Just keep the dispute open until you receive your order.
