Regular Authorisation Requests

I’m sorry if this had been asked, it’s likely I’ve missed the thread. Over the past year, I am being asked to authorise my payments every few transactions. Sometimes it’s every transaction, sometimes it’s every 2-3-4 transactions. I’m fine to authorise transactions but now it is getting too frequent and most times it is for small payments under £10 and having to wait for texted, calls or fumbling about the phone app is a bit annoying. Is this a new feature or something I need to change? I’ve had my PayPal for years now so there is no new information changed and I am going on all the same platforms I have always used. Thanks
