Hi When I get a refund on something Paypal immediately sends it back to my bank. I would prefer to have my Paypal in credit than the funds going back to my bank. Am pretty sure it used to be like this, but doesn’t work like this now.

The policy has changed, bank payments will be refunded back to your bank, no longer remaining in your PayPal balance.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
