I have ordered an item from ebay, paid for item via pay pal. Seller had not updated his details with eBay and my payment, although taken from my account, was put on hold. Seller has agreed to cancel and authorise refund. eBay and pay pal are being difficult to deal with and contact. Any advise?

What does it say next to the transaction in your Paypal account?

1. Pending (with a clearance date)
2. Pending/Unclaimed with a cancel option.
3. Pending/Unclaimed withOUT a cancel option.
4. Payment or Sent.
5. Pending/Uncleared with a clearance date.
6. Pending awaiting authorisation.

If your seller is uncooperative or unwilling to engage with you getting a refund for the item you ordered is unbelievably frustrating. I am fortunate that my seller acknowledged there had been a problem and authorised refund. eBay were not interested. PayPal and Ebay are amazing facilities until YOU have a problem, costs a fortune to phone, customer service is non existent. Better to use your credit card for payment. Amazon are so much better to deal with.
