I went to pay someone with PayPal but I didn’t realize it was on my old debit card that I canceled about a year ago, the payment went through after I put in my new debit card (same bank) and was charged. I asked for a refund because I figured it would cancel my first transaction. Will this refund go to my old bank account that is closed or will it go to the one that was charged?
When a refund is issued, the funds will go back to the funding source it was originally charged from. A refund cannot be sent to a different card or bank. I hope this helps!
