These payments will have a status of “Unclaimed” and will show in the “Pending” section of your PayPal account. If the payment is completed, you won't be able to cancel it. You'll need to contact the recipient and request a refund. You can only cancel a pending payment that has a "Cancel" link next to it. Contact the email address and explain to them, IF first option is impossible.

What does it say next to the transaction in your Paypal account?

1. Pending / Unclaimed.
2. Pending / Unclaimed with a cancel option.
3. Completed / Sent.
