Refund to a cancelled bank account

I made a purchase a month ago for a concert, but due to corona virus spreading they cancelled it.

I received the refund to my PayPal account but its connected to an old Credit Card (which I cancelled just a couple of weeks ago)

I contacted my bank and they didnt receive the payment to my old card.

PayPal have no active help center now so i cant ask them to refund the ticket company so i could contact them to refund me at a different account.

How can i receive the money and where is it now?

As long as the old card ACCOUNT is still open then it should go through ok.

Paypal say allow 30 days but its normally a lot quicker than that.

First of all Thank You for the quick response.

But the old card is no longer linked to the PayPal account - only my new card.

I contacted the bank and they still haven't cancelled the old card.

Should I wait for the full cancellation and maybe ill get the refund to the old card?

or will pay pal automatically refund the new card?

I didn't say the old card had to be linked to your paypal account.

I said as long as your CARD ACCOUNT was still open. In other words if both old and new cards belong/ed to the same bank or card ACCOUNT then it should go through ok.

so basically the money will enter my new card ?

(same account of course)

Because i can see the refund in my account summery, but not in my card credit.. thats the problem

If you funded the original payment to the seller from your card then once marked refunded it will automatically go back to that card ACCOUNT. Paypal say allow 30 days although its normally much quicker than that, country dependent.
