Refund through PayPal

I bought an item off eBay with my card. Money was taken from my bank acct. Seller canceled the order and sent me an email through PayPal saying it will be Refunded. The Refund, or any word about it, does not show up in my PayPal acct. I didn't pay through PayPal so can they refund to PayPal? Or did I just get Scammed?

If you didn't log in to pay via paypal then it won't show up in your paypal account will it?

If you paid via a card as a guest buyer then it will automatically go back to that card.

Paypal say allow 30 days but I have never waited longer than a week.
