Refund question

Hey so I sent a guy 500 usd but he had some trouble and refunded my money minutes after payment. The status of the refund says refunded and in help center it says that it means that the money should be back in my debit card, but the funds are not back on my debit bank account, is this normal? is there a waiting time or something? Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you funded the original payment to the seller from your bank account or a card then once marked refunded it will automatically go back to that bank account or card. Paypal say allow 30 days although its normally much quicker than that, country dependent.
