Unfortunately no, a refund cannot be redirected to any other payment method that the one that was used for the purchase. If the card is now closed, one of two things will usually happen. The first is that the refund will fail to transfer to the card and the money will be deposited into the PayPal balance. If the transfer fails, we generally will see this within 10 days of the refund being issued. The second is that the refund will be successfully claimed by the card issuer which should then mail you a check for the money. In the second situation, it is the card company's responsibility to reimburse you the amount of the refund.
