Someone bought my listing on depop but I forgot about it so I refunded. When I refunded the money, the money was never in my bank account, it was just on hold on paypal. This morning I see that $300 (the amount I refunded) has been taken from by bank account, saying "ACH Hold Paypal ECheck". Anyone know why this happened or how to get by money back?
You can't refund held funds and even if they had cleared there would not have been enough as you don't get the fee you were charged when your buyer paid returned as part of that refund, so you would have had to add the fee amount from your bank account first.
So as it was held and not enough anyway then it went from your bank account as an echeque.
