Recurring payments without credit card

Is it possible to pay for a monthly subscription, for example Netflix, with the PayPal balance without linking a credit/debit card?

To start sending payments, including monthly subscriptions, we ask all customers to verify their PayPal accounts to help increase trust within the PayPal community. Usually, you can use your credit card, debit card, or your bank account to verify your PayPal account. If your account has not been verified, log into your PayPal account, click the 'Unverified' link on your account and complete the steps outlined. On a verified PayPal account, if there's a PayPal balance available, we’ll use it first. If there’s a problem with the payment method you choose, we’ll use one of your other cards on file to make the payment.

So how can I tell if my account is verified? I dont se a unverified link, or text. Also not a verified check
