PayPal India has some special hoops you have to jump through in order to receive money:

Please note that personal payments cannot be sent or received by PayPal India accounts so the sender must send money as goods and services.

Your account's primary currency is the currency used to send and request money. It doesn't change the natural or original home currency of the PayPal account which is INR.

You can accept foreign currencies by adding currency balances (see above) within your PayPal balance to hold each foreign currency that PayPal supports without conversion except for when you are withdrawing funds to local bank account, PayPal automatically converts to local currency (INR).

See above link on how to add currency for more info.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
