Received Email of Payment, But Payment Not Showing Up In My Account Or Transaction History

Hello, I received an email that I had gotten a payment (which I was expecting), however the payment has not showed up in my account or my transaction history. The email has a transaction ID but I can't find anywhere to search this up. Where is my money? What should I do about this?
