Long story short, there is a hold on my PayPal account for a purchase that did not go through due to an error on the merchant's website. While PayPal told me that the merchant could release this hold on their end, they refused to try, so that left me stuck with waiting a month for the hold to expire. Today is the scheduled expiration date, but as of a few minutes ago, the transaction is still listed as Pending, and the money has not yet been released back into my PayPal balance. To those who have had authorization holds expire, what time of day did the expiration actually happen? Does it stay on until midnight, or something? Thanks in advance for your help.
[EDIT: Never mind, I think I posted this in the wrong category. I'll repost it there.]
