Problem receiving payment which was sent to unconfirmed email address

Hi, I gave a buyer a slightly incorrect email address and they used this to send the money. The disparity was that my PayPal email has no full stop between first and last name and what I told her was including a full stop, now with Gmail accounts the full stop actually makes no difference and either of those email addresses arrives in the same place. She's sent the money, it hasn't arrived. I've added the email address with the dot to my PayPal account and confirmed it but the money still isn't showing, so where will it have gone?
