Potentially fake email account

I foolishly paid money to a user then didn't receive the goods and have now been blocked by the user. The transaction was done on a Facebook selling site. Have used the PayPal function many times before but first time I have been scammed. PayPal said they cannot help and when I try to access the payment again they say that I cannot resubmit and issue with the resolution centre as I have done already.
