So I'm trying to complete a purchase online and it takes me to a paypal screen that say "Please add a debit or credit card to complete your purchase." even though I have more than enough in my account. The thing is that I cannot link my current card to my paypal due to some stupid bank rule so I just transfer the amount I need through my the bank's app to my paypal every time & I've made multiple successful purchases like this before but this is the first time this is happening. You can use funds in your paypal balance as long as they are in the correct currency and not pending.

But for some transactions ie digital / virtual or higher risk and at some point anyway Paypal will ask you to add a card to act as a back up funding source and to verify your Paypal account.
