Please add a credit or debit card?

Whenever I try to make a payment on a game it always says "Please add a credit or debit card" when i already did. It's a new account and I confirmed my email and I linked a card. But I linked a Gift Card. I didn't add a real card just a gift card on the account. What is the problem?

The problem is that it is a gift card.

You would need to add a card paypal accept that has funds on it AND where the billing address matches your physical address.
