Phone Number Required for Transactions

A customer recently asked why their phone number was required for a transaction through our website via PayPal. They are internationally located and the field would not accept their international phone number. Are phone numbers mandatory for a purchase field?

Thank you for reaching out to the PayPal community forums for assistance. I'm happy to help. The telephone number shouldn't be a requirement to donate to your organization if the patron is using their PayPal account to make this donation.

Have you checked with your integration to see if you allow international donations?
