Pending transaction

I sent money the other day with exactly the same card and it went instantly through. I just sent another amount with the same care and its pending, why?

Is it pending to a company?

Is it pending / unclaimed?

Is it pending / unclaimed with a cancel option?

Was it a friends / family or goods / services payment?

Was it to a website?

Was it on Ebay or another auction site?

A bit of info would help.
