Pending Transactions

I sold an item on Depop and the buyer has sent the money however it is being classed as a pending transaction. I don't want to send the item yet incase the payment doesn't go through and also part of the payment is the postage money. Am i guarenteed to recieve the money within 72 hours or can the payment be cancelled? Thanks x
