Pending Gift Payment

Hi I recently sent £35 as a gift through friends and family and they haven't received the payment.

All it says in my account is that it is pending.

What do I do about this, and does it mean the other person needs to accept the gift?

I've sent many transactions and never encountered this before.

Pending on your account either means you have sent an echeque from your bank account.........is there a clearance date to clarify that.

Or does it say pending / unclaimed and if so is there a cancel option.................if unclaimed then the email address either contained a spelling mistake or that email is not linked to a valid paypal account.
