Paypal made a payment a few days ago to a service I use and IIRC I had only a few pence in my PayPal account. I went to the bank yesterday and requested a bank statement and I noticed PapPal tried to Direct Debit (despite not having one set up) the amount minus a few pence from my Bank Account (BA), which was then refunded, apparently due to the lack of funds present.
At the time I had ~£9.50 in my BA and the money they tried to pay was ~£124.90. The cashier said I have 10 days to pay before they try again. My next payday won't cover the whole amount. What can I do about it?
Not only am I annoyed that PayPal processed the transaction but the fact that it tried to then take money from my BA without authorisation.
