I'm sorry to hear that your method of payment seems to be set to PayPal Credit. If you're choosing other methods at the time of payment, those other methods should be used. I recommend calling Customer Service and doing some real-time troubleshooting at a time when you're prepared to make a payment during the call so a representative can look at the information and capture the information to report to technicians if needed.
To call, click Contact at the bottom of the PayPal website, then click Call us, then log in to get the number to call and a verification code.
